台北市大安路一段： Daan Road 1st Section, Taipei

This painting is loosely based on the boutique-store-filled neighborhood I grew up in Taiwan - Daan Road, Taipei, Taiwan. The sci-fi world is filled with amazingly illustrated dystopian visions of major cities like New York, Tokyo, London, Shanghai and even Seoul. Yet I hardly see any of my country's great world-class cities, like Kaohsiung and Taipei, getting a well-deserved sci-fi futuristic makeover. I don't think there's a lack of talented Taiwanese concept artists out there...perhaps it's just that most of us think that no one cares about Taiwan. So I decided to paint my take on what my beloved home city will be like...maybe 100 years from now. Hope you enjoy it!
